The following questions apply to opioid drug use experience. Either lived experience, current use, past use or observed the use of a loved one.

1. When using alone do you/they have access to a smartphone?

2. If/when you've experienced an overdose – what was the time period between using and overdosing?

3. Would you/they use an app on your smartphone that monitored your vital signs?

4. What issues would prevent you/them from using it?

5. Would it make a difference to you/them if the phone did not collect any data?

6. Would it make a difference to you/them if the phone did not know your location? (It only sends your location in the event of an emergency)

Hardware: 7. Would you/they be okay using a fingertip band that plugged into the phone?

8. Would you/they be okay with using a bluetooth ring?

9. Would you/they be okay with using a bluetooth watch?

Calling/Texting: 10. Would you/they want to record a short voice message to the potential receiver before each use?

11. Would you/they want to write a short message to be sent as a text before each use?

Obtaining: 12. What would you pay for this device? -For yourself -For a family member

13. Do you/they use a local needle exchange?

14. Do you/they carry Narcan?
